Campaign Design – Pole Position Fitness Studio

I’m very excited to be working with the team at Pole Position Fitness Studio in refreshing their online presence by creating brand-consistent marketing collateral. The campaign below is an example of my basic package, which includes an A4 poster plus matching Facebook event banner and Instagram imagery so you can communicate your offer or promotion across all platforms. I opted for a crisp white design  with a single hero image to compliment the bright and modern branding style.

Corporate Design

During my time in the world of corporate design, I created many different assets for a huge number of clients! Campaigns I’ve worked on include with Afterpay, Microsoft, Google, Nintendo, Sony, and Activision-Blizzard. Below is a sample of some of my work I created during my time as a retail graphic designer.

Campaign Design – Bek Kelly

I was recently contacted by the lovely Bek to create a suite for her to advertise her upcoming classes in Victoria. She was an absolute dream to work with and with only a couple of back and forth emails I was able to design something she was happy with! As part of a suite package I created an Instagram ready image and also a Facebook event banner image so that her campaign could be consistently advertised across all of her channels.

ABDF2015 T-shirt Design Competition

In 2015 the Adelaide Belly Dance Festival launched for the very first time, and to celebrate the launch they held a competition for a Tshirt logo design to be sold at the event. The winner was determined as selected by a panel, with finalists determined via votes on Facebook. Though my entry made the final selections, sadly it didn’t end up on the Tshirt. It was however a fun experience indulging in my love of bellydance illustration, and motivated me to convert a sketch into a digital file to be used another time!

The pencil sketch hasn’t made it to digital format yet, it’s still sitting in my archives. . .

Logo Design – Border Bellydance

One of my favourite things to work on with clients is illustration and logo design. I had previously worked with Samantha from Border Bellydance in producing marketing collateral for her annual Fire in the Belly Festival held in the Albury/Wodonga region. When she approached me with a ‘brief’ – which was a graphic made up by her mum, bless her! – inspiration took over and I was able to create a beautiful logo that Sam affectionately called Leila. Though sadly Border Bellydance is no longer due to Sam permanently reclocating interstate, I cherish the experience of working with her on such a memorable project.

Salam ya Raqs! Campaign Design

Queensland Bellydance Academy is Queensland’s premier bellydance school.

The Academy’s directors, Nerissa and Ambyr are internationally recognised and awarded bellydance teachers, with extensive teaching and performance experience.

Naturally I was thrilled when they contacted me about producing the campaign artwork for their gala show, Salam Ya Raqs! which included assets for both print and web.

The complete suite included:

  • Poster artwork (A1 & A4)
  • Program (A5 folded)
  • DVD Cover
  • Facebook cover photo for public profile
  • Facebook cover photo for event (not pictured)
  • Instagram artwork

Pastel Portrait – Zoe Jakes

Inspired by my previous work, after nearly 10 years in hiatus, I decided to pick up my pastels and try my hand at drawing portraits again. Zoe Jakes is an incredible pioneer of modern fusion dance in the US, founding the band Beats Antique and touring her live show across the globe. I chose to reproduce this image because of its arresting simplicity which captures her essence perfectly.

Drawing & Visual Art

These pieces were completed during my time studying for my degree in Visual Arts at the South Australian School of Art. I have always loved the elegance of black and white drawing, particularly with Charcoal. The human form has always inspired my work, and it was during this time I learned a lot about observation and detail to better round out my skills as a designer and artist.
